ACC warns fans over fake tickets
DUBAI – The Asian Cricket Council (ACC) has issued a strong warning to cricket fans ahead of the Asia Cup 2025, cautioning against purchasing unauthorised tickets for the highly anticipated tournament in the United Arab Emirates.
The continental T20 showpiece, running from 9 to 28 September across Dubai and Abu Dhabi, has already sparked huge demand – particularly for the India–Pakistan clash scheduled for 14 September at Dubai International Cricket Stadium. But the ACC confirmed that no official tickets have yet been released, and any tickets currently circulating online are fraudulent and will not grant entry.
In a statement on X, formerly Twitter, the council stressed that ticket sales would only be announced jointly by the ACC and the Emirates Cricket Board.

Asia Cup 2025 schedule
The Asia Cup will see eight teams compete in two groups. Group A features India, Pakistan, hosts UAE, and Oman, while Group B consists of Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, and Hong Kong.
The tournament begins on 9 September in Abu Dhabi, with Afghanistan facing Hong Kong in the opening fixture. India start their campaign against the UAE on 10 September in Dubai, followed by Pakistan’s opener against Oman on 12 September. The much-awaited India–Pakistan showdown comes just two days later, on 14 September, also in Dubai.
Other key group stage fixtures include Bangladesh vs Sri Lanka on 13 September in Abu Dhabi, Pakistan vs UAE on 17 September in Dubai, and Sri Lanka vs Afghanistan on 18 September in Abu Dhabi. The final group game will see India take on Oman in Abu Dhabi on 19 September.
Super Four stage
The top two teams from each group will qualify for the Super Four stage, which runs from 20 to 26 September. Dubai will host five out of six matches, while Abu Dhabi stages one.
The Super Four format will see crossover contests between the top finishers of Groups A and B, setting up potential repeat encounters between India and Pakistan. Matches include Group B winner vs Group B runner-up on 20 September in Dubai, and Group A winner vs Group A runner-up on 21 September, also in Dubai.
The round concludes on 26 September, with the final taking place in Dubai on 28 September at 6pm local time.
When will India and Pakistan play?
The marquee India–Pakistan clash is locked in for Sunday, 14 September, under lights in Dubai. If both teams advance to the Super Four, they are scheduled to meet again on 21 September. Should the arch-rivals finish among the top two sides in the Super Four, fans could witness a third showdown in the final on 28 September.
Given the historic rivalry, tickets for these encounters are expected to be the most sought-after of the tournament. Organisers have confirmed that details of official ticket sales will be revealed soon, with pricing expected to remain accessible but premium rates likely for the India–Pakistan fixtures due to overwhelming demand.
